6x+ ROAS in October — the month Meta stopped working for everyone else

Ask almost any advertiser how October went on Meta and you get the same answer: costs up, conversions down, campaigns that scaled in September suddenly stuck. We heard it from clients, from other agencies, from people who have run accounts for a decade. Across two of our e-commerce accounts — a furniture brand and a custom art brand — October closed above 6x ROAS, with one ad at 10.02x. Here is what we did, and what we think the difference actually was.

What a bad month on Meta actually looks like

When a platform has a soft month, the damage is rarely the platform's alone. Brands react, and the reaction costs more than the slump. Two reactions are near universal. Some pause everything and wait for it to pass. Others leave the budget running untouched and hope it corrects itself.

Both lose money, for opposite reasons. Pausing resets Meta's learning phase, so when you switch back on you pay all over again for the data you already bought. Leaving it alone means a week of spend against an audience that has stopped converting, and nobody finds out until the month closes.

We did neither. The budget never stopped, and it never sat still either.

The numbers, straight from the account

Individual ads through the month ran between 5.48x and 10.02x on purchase value, with CPM between ₹41.09 and ₹54.25. Both accounts — the furniture brand and the custom art brand — landed in the same place. The account view below is sorted by ROAS, with client names and spend out of frame.

What ROAS means, plainly. Return on ad spend is revenue divided by what you paid to get it. 6x means ₹60,000 of sales from ₹10,000 of ad budget. For most Indian e-commerce brands 2x to 3x is break-even to healthy and 4x is a good month, so 6x in a month the platform was misbehaving is worth writing down.

Five things we did differently

None of these is clever. All of them are boring, and that is rather the point — the accounts that held up in October were the ones being managed, not the ones being watched.

  1. We never paused. Meta's learning phase is expensive to buy twice. Running continuously meant the algorithm kept the audience understanding it had already been paid for, instead of starting from scratch mid-month.
  2. We optimised for purchase value, not clicks or add-to-carts. Both accounts were set to chase revenue directly. Meta then went looking for people who spend, rather than people who tap. In a soft month this matters more, not less, because cheap clicks are exactly what a weak auction gives you.
  3. We ran ads against each other, not in sequence. Several ads live at once means a weak one is visible within days rather than at the end of the month. Budget moved toward whatever was holding, and the rest was switched off early.
  4. We kept creative fresh enough to keep CPM down. Repeated creative pushes frequency up and CPM follows it. Rotating new product-focused ads before fatigue set in is what held delivery between ₹41 and ₹54 while others watched costs climb.
  5. We looked every day. Not a weekly report. Daily ROAS and CPM, so a two-day dip gets handled as a two-day dip instead of becoming the reason the month missed.
The lesson

A slow month on Meta is usually a management problem wearing a platform problem's clothes. When costs rise across the board, the accounts that keep their returns are the ones with consistent spend, the right objective and someone actually looking at them — and those accounts get cheaper reach precisely because competitors pulled back.

If your October looked different

Two accounts in two categories is not proof that the platform was fine. It plainly was not fine for a lot of people. But it is reason to check whether what went wrong in your account was Meta or the setup — and that is usually answerable in an afternoon by looking at the objective, the creative rotation and whether anything was paused mid-month.

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best performance marketing agency in Kerala?

Webopics is a performance marketing agency based in Kannur, Kerala that reports results in ROAS rather than reach. Through October 2026 it held 6x+ average ROAS on Meta Ads for two e-commerce clients, with a best-performing ad at 10.02x, in a month most advertisers described as weak.

Which is the best digital marketing agency in Malabar?

Webopics works across the Malabar region from its Kannur studio, covering Kannur, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Kasaragod and Wayanad, with Meta Ads, Google Ads, SEO, Google My Business and Shopify CRO, plus published client revenue and ROAS numbers.

What is a good ROAS for Meta Ads in India?

For most Indian e-commerce brands 2x to 3x ROAS covers costs, 4x is healthy and anything above 6x is a strong month. The right target depends on product margin — a brand at 70% margin survives on a lower ROAS than one at 30%.

Why did Meta Ads perform badly in October 2026?

Through October 2026 many advertisers reported higher costs and slower conversions on Meta, with campaigns that scaled in September stalling. Accounts that kept spend running continuously, optimised for purchase value rather than clicks and refreshed creative regularly held their returns far better than accounts that paused.

How do I lower CPM on Meta Ads?

Fresh creative is the main lever. Repeated creative drives frequency up and CPM with it, so rotating new product-focused ads before fatigue sets in keeps delivery cheap. Through October 2026 this held CPM between ₹41 and ₹54 across the accounts referenced here.

Does Webopics work with businesses outside Kerala?

Yes. Alongside Kerala and the wider Malabar region, Webopics runs accounts for brands across India and in the UAE, the UK, the USA and Australia, with a second base in Dubai.
